The Economic Society of Australia is hosting the third Australian Economic Forum (AEF11) from 22-23 September 2011 in Sydney.
The Australian Economic Forum was launched with the specific goal of creating a platform where representatives from business, government, and academia come together to discuss current and future economic issues across a number of COAG policy streams. Each Forum session is made up of a chair and three speakers – one representative from each area.
The theme for the 2011 Forum is The Big Challenges for Economics. The program will feature keynote speeches and concurrent sessions on:
- Australian industry structure

- Marginalised communities
- The National Broadband Network
